What is a Sports Dietitian?

Accredited Sports Dietitians (AccSD) provide tailored advice to anyone looking for an improvement in their chosen sport or physical activity. We love being active and want you to get the most out of your training and/or racing/competing. We know this isn’t always an easy task when you are surrounded with nutrition information from popular media. AccSD’s are qualified to provide you with current best practice to assist you reach your goals in sport and fitness.

What is a Dietitian?

Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs) are university qualified nutrition experts. We undertake continued professional development to ensure you are provided with the most up to date information. APD’s are able to assess and provide advice on your particular nutritional needs. Taking into consideration a range of health conditions/diseases and providing appropriate nutrition therapy, centred to the individual. We are the only nutrition professionals able to accept GP referrals and provide Medicare and private health rebates

Where are you located?

Brisbane (St. Lucia), Gympie and Noosa and surrounds. Though other locations by appointment.

Do you accept DVA clients?

Yes absolutely, provided clients have a referral from their GP, DVA clients are most welcomed. I have extensive experience looking after Veterans and enjoy providing home visits where relevant.

How many appointments will I need?

Every individual is different and some need ongoing care. Ideally at least an initial appointment and reviews of progress/for further education and support as indicated. The goal of nutrition counselling is also to provide you with sufficient education to assist in managing your own goals.
